“Take me out to the ball game, Take me out with the crowd.”

That is exactly what members of the WICT New England Mentor Program did on Thursday June 23. It was a beautiful day for the mid-year mentor event at Fenway Park in Boston, MA.

The “WICTers”, as tour guide, Ed Carpenter, referred to us, gave a wonderful tour of the Park, full of color and history. Our tour of the oldest MLB ballpark started on the field and moved to the Blue Grandstand seats- which we learned are the only remaining wooden seats in baseball. Some other stops on the tour included the famous Green Monster, Fenway Farms, and the Hall of Fame Hallway. Following the tour we all watched the White Sox Red Sox game from the NESN suite.

“The day really encapsulated what the program is all about- building lasting relationships within our industry. The pairs were able to share a memorable experience at Fenway, get some quality face time with each other, and connect with their peers. I think everyone who was able to attend had a positive experience” Anna Ciccone- WICT New England Mentor Program Director.

It was a fantastic day at the ballpark with a great win over the Chicago White Sox.
