Shaelagh
Florence, Marketing Analyst, Comcast
Initially,
Shaelagh Florence began her telecommunications career at Teletech,
formerly the Boston Communications Group, in 2000. She joined the
Comcast family, in 2001, as an Inside Sales Professional for the
NorthCentral Telesales group and quickly moved to an Inside Sales
Coordinator position within the same department. In 2003, she went on
to support this group as the Sales Operations Analyst. In 2006, she
left Telesales to join the Comcast Marketing Sciences team as a
Database Marketing Analyst. Currently, Shaelagh supports the Greater
Boston Region.
In
her Marketing Sciences position, Shaelagh is responsible for providing
in-depth database market analysis, data mining and forecasting to all
levels of marketing in support of functional/regional objectives.
Additionally, Shaelagh supports Consumer Marketing by providing list
management and campaign analysis for promotional campaigns, designing
tests in conjunction with the Strategy managers as well as providing
post-campaign response reports used to plan future promotional
campaigns. Also, Shaelagh creates customer profiles by demographic and
behavioral characteristics and tracks customer behavior including
response, churn, product selection, etc. Furthermore, she has manages
the Marketing Sciences website and produces the Marketing Sciences
newsletter.
Shaelagh
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with
concentrations in marketing and management information systems at the
University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2003. She continued her
education at Boston University completing the Masters of Science in
Administrative Studies with concentrations in e-commerce, innovation
and technology degree program in 2006.
Shaelagh
has been a member of the New England Chapter of Women in Cable
Telecommunications (WICT) since 2004. She served as the 2008 & 2009
Marketing Director and is currently serving on the 2010 Executive Board
as the Communications Chair.
