Deena Vandeberghe, Division Recovery Manager, Comcast
Deena Vandeberghe is the current President for WICT New England. As President, Mrs. Vandeberghe has been a proven leader, helping the chapter to meet all of its Regional Goals. She is also responsible for leading the WICT Board, comprised of twenty volunteers from various telecommunications companies, to create programs, events and opportunities that utilize collaboration to bolster leadership opportunities and challenge industry companies to create professional advancement opportunities for women.
In 2006, Mrs. Vandeberghe was awarded the first Innovator of the Year Award for her innovative thinking and implementation of change for WICT New England. She has been a member of WICT New England since 2002. During that time she has held several positions on the WICT New England Board - Chapter President 2007, 2006; Vice President 2005 and Treasurer 2004.
In addition to her duties as Chapter President, she holds the position of Recovery Manager for Comcast’s NorthCentral Division. In this role, she is responsible for piracy and plant damage recovery operations in five New England states, New York, Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia area. She partnered with the Corporate Security Director and other Directors in the creation and implementation of a company wide Piracy Operations Program including conceptualization, determination of best practices and creation and national implementation of business methods and procedures.
Mrs. Vandeberghe has more than 9 years of experience in the cable industry, holding a management position not only at Comcast, but the former AT&T Broadband and MediaOne.
Prior to joining MediaOne Mrs. Vandeberghe served as a telecommunications litigation paralegal for the Law Firm of Morse & Sacks in Northampton, Massachusetts.
She holds a bachelor of science degree in legal studies and an associate of science degree in paralegal studies from Bay Path College. |
