Please join WICT New England as we say farewell to Doug and wish him
many successes in his new role as Senior Vice President of the Comcast
Houston Region. For so many years, Doug has been a guide, mentor and
advocate for the WICT organization and the New England Chapter. We
appreciate his time and commitment to developing rising leaders and
hope you can all join us in celebrating his many contributions.

Doug Guthrie
Douglas Guthrie
has served as Senior Vice President of Comcast's Western New England
Region since 2006. In this role, Guthrie has been the senior executive
responsible for operations, financial performance and customer service
for over 800,000 customers in more than 300 communities in Connecticut,
Western Massachusetts, Vermont and New York.
Doug has accepted a well-deserved promotion as Regional Senior
Vice President for Comcast's Houston Region. During his tenure with
Comcast, Doug has demonstrated exceptional leadership as the scope and
scale of his role has expanded and evolved within the broader context
of the business.
Mr. Guthrie has 25 years of experience in the communications industry,
holding a variety of senior management, operations and marketing
positions with Comcast and its predecessor companies, including
AT&T Broadband, MediaOne and Continental Cablevision, where he
began his career in Massachusetts in 1985.
Mr. Guthrie is very involved in many industry and community
organizations. He serves as a Trustee of Connecticut Public
Broadcasting, a member of the Board of Directors of the Middlesex YMCA
and a recent past president and advisor to the New England Chapter of
the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). He
has also been very involved in Women in Cable & Telecommunications
(WICT), serving as an Executive Advisor and Chamption to the
organization's local Board of Directors and receiving its prestigious
Career Achievement Award in 2007.
Mr. Guthrie earned his bachelor's degree in Communications from
Bridgewater State College and is currently pursuing his master's degree
in Management from UCONN. He resides in Portland, Connecticut
with his wife and two daughters.
